Sebastian Hits Primetime with MSG Varsity
Top High School Wrestlers from New York, New Jersey Gather In-Studio Prior to Cross-State Tourney Announcement
In advance of March 25’s Second Annual NJ/NY All Star Wrestling Charity Challenge, MSG Varsity’s Gregg Sarra will gather 12 of the region’s top high school wrestlers at MSG Varsity studios and reveal the roster of athletes selected to represent their states in a live one-hour special, “The NJ/NY All Star Wrestling Charity Challenge Live Call-In Show” on Monday, March 19, at 8pm on MSG Varsity, iO TV Channel 14. The call-in show will also stream live for viewers across the country.
Among this year's group will be Bergen Catholic's own state champion, Johnny Sebastian of Ramsey. The sophomore Crusader earned his first state title in following a last minute push over Philip Bakuckas of Hammonton. He also took home his first this year as well as a repeat win in the .
The NJ/NY All Star Wrestling Charity Challenge Live Call-In Show, a one hour, live call-in special will reveal those wrestlers from New York and New Jersey who have been selected to participate in The Second Annual NJ/NY All Star Wrestling Charity Challenge, presented by MSG Varsity. The state vs. state event benefits two organizations—The Adam Frey Foundationand Pinning Down Autism.

Coming from New York will be athletes from Brooklyn Tech, Canastota, Connetquot, Eastport South Manor, Johnson City, Kellenberg, Long Beach, Monsignor Farrell, North Rockland, Scarsdale, Shenedahoah, Wantagh and Ward Melville.
Joining Sebastian from the Garden State will be wrestlers hailing from Hunterdon Central, Jackson Memorial, JFK-Iselin, Lacey Township, Mahwah, Mendham, Morris Knolls, North Bergen, St. Peter’s Prep, Seton Hall Prep, South Plainfield, Toms River South, Trenton Central, Watchung Hills and West Morris.
