The 2010-11 NJSIAA Tournament brackets for basketball were released earlier. All three area teams have secured their state tournament bids. The state tournaments begin on Feb. 28, The River Dell Golden Hawks (5-12) are seeded 15th and will open their state run against a strong second seeded Pequannock Panthers (14-3) on Feb. 28, 7pm in Pequannock.  The ninth seeded Bergen Catholic Crusaders will face a familiar foe in the eighth seeded Paramus Catholic Paladins in the March 1, 7pm opening round at PC. These two squads have met twice during the regular season, spitting a pair of wins. The victory will move on to face the first seeded Seton Hall Prep Pirates on March. 3. The defending North 1 Group 2 sectional finalists, the River Dell Lady Hawks are seeded second and in a good position to defend their title. First up is the 15th seeded Walkill Valley Indians on Feb. 28, 7pm. The Lady Hawks could very well face rival Mahwah in the second round if the T-Birds can survive a charge by Pompton Lakes.
