Registration is open for a Birthright trip to Israel

- The Church of the Annunciation in Oradell will hold choir rehearsal from 8:45 to 9:30am; Morning Prayers from 10 to 11am; a Coffee Hour from 11am to 12:30pm; and Hand Bell Rehearsal from 5:15 to 6:15pm.
- The First Congregational Church of River Edge offers a study on The New Testament from 8:45 to 9:45am in the Church library. Led by Rev. Charles Holm, the group will look at the the story of where the Bible came from and how it is passed along.
- Due to President's Day Weekend, there are no classes at Temple Avodat Shalom today. But registration is ongoing for the summer 2011 season of free Taglit-Birthright Israel trips with URJ Kesher for Jewish young adults who are between 18 and 26 years old.
- There are no religious education classes at St. Joseph RC Church of Oradell/New Milford and the Religious Education Office (Spiritual Development Center) will be closed for the President's Weekend Holiday. Religious classes resume on Feb. 27.
- Head over to New Bridge Landing between 1 to 5pm for a Country Ball upon the Anniversary of Washington’s Birthday. Under Denise Piccino’s direction, the Tricorne Ensemble will demonstrate 18th-century dances in the parlor of the Steuben House! Ridley & Anne Enslow provide musical accompaniment on fiddle and hammered dulcimer. Rodger Yaden portrays General Washington. Hot cider and crullers will be available in the tavern. There is a suggested donation of $7 for adults and $5 for children.
