[Video] Oradell Turns Red with Republican Control
Mayor Joseph Murray and Councilmen Tony Meo and Ed Pfleging took office after winning in November
For the first time in nine years, Joseph Murray did not have to move any motions forward while sitting with his fellow Oradell council members. The first time mayor was sworn in at along with new incoming Councilmen Tony Meo and Ed Pfleging at a packed room on Monday.
Murray, who during the November election has served on the Council since 2003 and as well from January 1990 to November 1996. An attorney with , he practices business, estate and real estate law. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Bergen County.
A homegrown candidate, Meo graduated from and before heading off to Montclair University for a degree in Political Science. The legislative aide to Assemblyman Robert Schroeder (D-39), he has volunteered with the for the past 10 years beginning in the cadet and junior programs before becoming a regular member.

A professional engineer with the Montefiore Medical Center in New York, Pfleging previously served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He is a former member of the Oradell Zoning Board of Adjustment and Land Use Ordinance Committee.
Councilman James Koth was unanimously appointed to serve as Council President. The position was previously held by Murray.
