Week Ahead: Final Vote on Kinderkamack Road Housing Development

A quick look at what is coming up this week

Plans for a at 230 Kinderkamack Road in River Edge are nearing the conclusion of its site plan review as the Planning Board hears the last of the project's professionals testimony and public comment on Thursday, 8pm. The , presented by Now Atkins LLC, calls for 46 two-bath, two-bedroom units, split between three buildings and measuring 1100-square foot. Two of the buildings would face Kinderkamack Road, while the third abutts the nearby railroad tracks and backyards of residents on Elizabeth Street. Each building is expected to measure 39 1/2 feet.

The River Edge Council has a 7pm work session followed by an 8pm regular meeting on Monday while the River Edge Board of Ed is set to met on Wednesday, 7:30pm at Roosevelt School.

River Dell

  • Baseball takes on Indian Hills on the road Monday and returns home for Mahwah on Wednesday and Union City on Saturday. Game time is 4:15pm.
  • Boys lacrosse starts the week off in Old Tappan on Tuesday, 4:30pm and then faces a tough St. Joseph Regional squad on Wednesday at home, 5pm.
  • Girls lacrosse is starting off their season with top-caliber opponents with Old Tappan on Monday at home and then travels to Wayne Valley on Wednesday. Game time is 4:30pm.
  • Rivalry is the theme of the week for softball as Indian Hills comes to town on Monday and then hits the road for Mahwah on Wednesday. Game time is 4:15pm.
  • Track and Field plays host to Indian Hills on Tuesday, 4:15pm and then compete in the Lyndhurst Relays on Saturday, 9am.
  • Tennis heads to Oakland for Monday's match against Indian Hills but returns home on Wednesday for Mahwah. Match time is 4:15pm.

  • Lacrosse faces Northern Highlands on Monday at 4:30pm and then heads to Glen Ridge on Thursday, 4pm.
  • Track and Field draws the first match-up against rival Don Bosco on Tuesday, 4pm at home.
  • Tennis starts the season on the road to Passiac, 4pm and then competes at IHA courts, 3pm against Don Bosco. The squad finishes the week at Paramus Catholic, Wednesday at 4pm.
  • Baseball will be at Overpeck Park for home games on Monday against Passaic and Thursday against Don Bosco at 4pm. And then heads onto the road Tuesday at Salesian and Wednesday at Paramus Catholic, 4pm.
