Week Ahead: Fire Siren Discussion Continue

Welcome to the "Week Ahead," a weekly column that highlights what is coming up this week in RiverDell as the River Edge Mayor and Council go to round three on the topic of a controversial fire siren.
Prior to Monday's 7pm work session and 8pm regular meeting of the River Edge Mayor and Council, the governing body is scheduled to have a 6pm closed session to discuss the Police Department's Personnel. Public meeting topics will most likely include the Kensington and Elm Avenues fire siren and a zoning change request from a developer for a parcel of land on Kinderkamack Road.
Wednesday evening at 7:30pm the River Edge Board of Education has its regularly scheduled meeting at Roosevelt School in the media center.

Ballet Arts of Oradell presents its' annual production of The Nutcracker, Friday at 7:30pm and Saturday 2pm in the RDMS Auditorium. Tickets $12 in advance and $15.00 at the door. Information 201-265-8740.

- Bowling has its' first match on Thursday at Holiday Bowl in Oakland against Indian Hills.
- Ice hockey is away on Wednesday at MacKay Rink in Englewood against Tenafly. Then splits a home-away game against Paramus Catholic at the Ice House on Saturday, 6:45pm and Sunday, 7pm.
- Swimming is home at Bergen Community College, Thursday at 5pm against Pascack Valley.
Bergen Catholic
- Swimming is away in Wayne at DePaul on Tuesday at 5:30pm and then home at the Garfield Boys Club on Wednesday against Fair Lawn at 3:30pm.
- Hockey is away on Friday to face St. Peter's Prep at the Prudential Center in Newark, 4pm. Sunday the team is home at the Ice House in Hackensack, 5pm against Gloucester Catholic.
- Bowling heads to T-Bowl Lanes in Wayne on Friday to face Passaic, 4pm. The team will compete in the Holiday Team CLassic on Saturday starting at 10am at Bowler City in Hackensack.
