MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Diners at Italian restaurant Anjelica’s, in Sea Bright were surprised by the presence of Hollywood actress Amy Adams last week, according to several reports.
Known for movies like "American Hustle," "Arrival," and "Enchanted," Adams was spotted at the Jersey Shore restaurant on Nov. 27, celebrity Instagram account Deux Moi posted and NJ.com confirmed.
"I think she has a good friend in the area," one staff member told the publication. "Everyone was very, very chill about it. People definitely noticed that she was here, but no one went up to her or anything. It was just normal."

Operating since 1996, Anjelica’s is a family-owned eatery with a menu drawing inspiration from both southern and northern Italian cuisine — specifically from the Avellino, Sicily and Lombardy regions.
Owner Ray Lena grew up in Long Branch surrounded by his mother, grandmother, aunts and great aunts, with the kitchen being the "heart of the home," according to the restaurant's website.
“They were wonderful cooks with a deep love for the process of cooking and their ingredients,” Lena said.
They had a large garden where they sourced fresh vegetables and herbs from and "everyday dough was rolled out for pasta, sauce simmered in large pots."
Lena later named the restaurant after his daughter Anjelica.
