FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Demolition of the Fair Haven Community Center, part of a new Police Department/Community Center project, is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 27 and 28, the borough announced.

Hall Building Corp. Farmingdale, was the lowest bidder that met all specifications at $8.285 million for the overall project for the two buildings.
The new Police Department headquarters will replace a 1920s-era building on Fisk Street, the former Fisk Street School. The new police headquarters will meet all state Department of Corrections and National Association of Chiefs of Police law enforcement requirements, but is designed to blend into its location in a residential Fair Haven neighborhood, officials have said.
