What's going on in the Rumson-Fair Haven area on Wednesday.

Around the towns today …
• Well, unofficial election results are in and uncontested Fair Haven incumbents are still on the Borough Council while Rumson's incumbent Republican and newcomer teammate were victorious over write-in and Democratic challengers. Read more in our story and take a look at the rest of the election coverage.
• Rumson Borough Council meets tonight.
• The Monmouth County Regional Health Commission is holding its rabies vaccination clinic at the Fair Haven Firehouse tonight from 7 to 8 p.m.
• There's some Fair Haven police news we'll be catching you up on.
• We'll also be bringing you some more school news, in addition to RFH students' achievements with the National Merit Scholarship Program.

• The sun will shine today with the National Weather Service forecasting high temperatures in the high 50s.

"The sun will rise in Sea Bright at 6:33 am and sunset will be at 4:46 p.m. The moon will rise in the southeast (116º) at 9:45 am and will set in the southwest (245º) at 7:50 p.m.
"In the high tide and low tide chart, we can see that the first low tide will be at 4:21 am and the next low tide at 5:07 p.m. The first high tide will be at 10:36 a.m. and the next high tide at 11:09 p.m.
The lunar phase is a Waxing Crescent. Today we will have 10 hours and 13 minutes of sun. The solar transit will be at 11:40 a.m. and the length of time the moon will be visible will be 14 hours and 15 minutes."
