Entertainers Abound in R-FH Talent Show
Singing, dancing and faculty performances
Where can you see a future Adele or Mumford and Sons in a rousing local live performance?
Raw talent abounds at the annual Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Talent Show, which will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. in the school's auditorium. Featuring a wide spectrum of dancing, singing, and instrumental performances, the R-FH Talent Show is always a "hot ticket".
"The R-FH Talent Show has a true 'wow' factor as far as the quality of the performances," said Yannell Maglione, advisor to the R-FH Student Government Association, which organizes the event. "Spectators who attend initially to support the students end up returning each year to see what the newest crop of talent has to offer."
This year's show will feature solo and group performances by dancers, singers, and musicians. Audiences can expect intimate acoustic numbers in addition to high-powered ensemble-type musical performances. Students will "cover" songs by popular groups as well as perform their own compositions.
The admission fee for the general public as well as for students with SGA cards is $5.
This year's Talent Show will support the the school's "Save the Auditorium Initiative," which kicked off this past fall. Funds collected will be used to further improve the auditorium's sound system, ensuring even greater enjoyment of future performances.
The R-FH Talent Show is traditionally an "all hands on deck" type of event and, according to Maglione, a few members of the R-FH faculty will perform as well. "The bottom line for the R-FH Talent Show is always expect the unexpected," she said.
