Fair Haven Election 2022 Results: Mayor Halpern Wins Full Term
In unofficial results, Mayor Josh Halpern has won re-election in Fair Haven; Republican council candidates are leading.

FAIR HAVEN, NJ — Incumbent Mayor Josh Halpern has won a full term as mayor in unofficial results, with 1,754 votes to 1,103 votes for Christopher Rodriguez, a Democrat.
According to Monmouth County elections office unofficial results, Republican also won two council seats, but mail-in votes are continuing to be counted.
Halpern and Rodriguez were each seeking a full term for mayor in Fair Haven. Halpern is currently serving an unexpired term he was appointed to last October upon the resignation of the former mayor, a Republican.

Although not all votes have been counted, Rodriguez said the mayoral race is not in doubt.
“I want to congratulate the mayor and Borough Council-elect candidates on a fine job this year. I also want to thank the outgoing council people for their service to the town" Rodriguez said.

"Fair Haven is in great hands going forward, and I encourage my friends and neighbors to participate at any level because that’s how we keep the Fair Haven tradition alive and well,” he added.
Rodriguez is the Borough Council President. He has one more year on his council term, "and I plan to serve it," he said.
Meanwhile, Halpern said "It is my honor to continue to serve as Fair Haven’s Mayor for the next four years.
"I love this town and this job. I want to thank Meg Chrisner Keefe and Mike McCue for their time and commitment to Fair Haven. I look forward to continuing to work with Chris Rodriguez on council, and welcome Kristen Hoey and Drew LaBarbera to the team. Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get back to work," he said.
In Fair Haven, the mayor is directly elected and votes to break a tie among the Borough Council.
As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, the unofficial results for the two open seats on the Borough Council were:
- Kristen Hoey (Republican) - 1,535
- Andrew "Drew" LaBarbera (Republican) - 1,486
- Meghan Chrisner-Keefe (Democrat) - 1,348
- Michael McCue (Democrat) - 1,293.
Results are unofficial until certified by the county. Mail-in ballots can be received by the county for six days after the election.
