Country Theme For Foundation of Fair Haven March 2 Fundraiser

The "Haven Hoe Down" promises a fun time for a good cause - fundraising to support community activities in Fair Haven.

FAIR HAVEN, NJ — The Foundation of Fair Haven will have its inaugural Haven Hoe Down to raise funds for a variety of community initiatives, including the 2024 Fair Haven Day.

And a country good time is promised by the organizers: Expect country music and dancing, Southern food and drinks - all perfect for the country attire you're encouraged to dig out and wear for the occasion.

It's Saturday, March 2, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Columbus Club at 200 Fair Haven Road, which will transform into a country music dance hall. This is an age 21+ event.

"We're thrilled to bring something brand new and exciting to Fair Haven with the Haven Hoe Down," says Amanda Lynn, chair of the event from the Foundation of Fair Haven. "This event is all about celebrating our community, enjoying great music and food, and raising important funds for our annual events and community support. We can't wait to see everyone put on their dancing shoes and help us make this a boot-stompin' success!"

Monmouth County’s popular country cover band Not Leaving Sober, sponsored by Christopher Rizzolo, will get the hoe down going. The night also includes Southern fare by Sickles Market and seasonal cocktails, including a themed bourbon for the evening.

"Dust off your Stetson and dig out your Daisy Dukes because festive attire is highly encouraged," organizers say. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and spirited ensembles, "so let your inner fashion cowboy run wild."

There are also games planned: A cornhole tournament, classic yard games, and more.
