New Season, New Initiatives For Waterspirit In Rumson

Waterspirit, the eco-spiritual organization based in Rumson, has a lineup of Earth-friendly events coming up.

RUMSON, NJ — Waterspirit is all about advocating for awareness and protection of the planet, and the Rumson-based organization is offering more educational and spiritual programs for the fall season. Here are two events coming up soon:

Autumnal equinox

Explore the meaning of autumn at the longstanding Waterspirit celebration of the autumnal equinox on Friday, Sept. 22.

The "season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" will be marked with its "eco-spiritual" prayer, contemplation and music from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Waterspirit headquarters in Rumson, 4 E. River Road. Musician Phil Weir will perform at the event.

You can register here. The event is free but a suggested donation is welcome, too. The event will also be livestreamed on the organization's YouTube channel.

The event is "designed to help us all deepen our connections to Earth," says Program Manager Anne Price. "Together we will honor our ancestors and pledge to do what we can to leave Earth a better place for our descendants.

The celebration is open to all ages.

Eco-Friendly House Party

Another event coming up Thursday, Sept. 14, is the Eco-Friendly House Party. The address will be shared with those who register. The event is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and there is still room to register, said Price on Tuesday.

You can check out the process of installing solar energy, heat pumps, EV chargers, induction stoves, and other sustainable upgrades with the highly knowledgeable homeowners.
