The Red Horse by David Burke will host a dinner inspired by "Applejack: The Spirit of Americana" cookbook with Laird & Co. in November.

RUMSON, NJ — Laird & Company is teaming up for a four-course dinner special inspired by “Applejack: The Spirit of Americana" cookbook at the Red Horse by David Burke.
From 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, guests can “take a bite out of history” as they enjoy a meal inspired by the cookbook's recipes. Lisa Laird-Dunn, who compiled and edited the book’s recipes, will be in attendance at the dinner alongside other Laird family members.
Throughout the meal, the family will discuss the process of producing Applejack and its Monmouth County history, as well as share some “fun and informative apple anecdotes.”

“Much beloved by early settlers, applejack is now experiencing a resurgence in popularity, as a beverage, and as a cooking ingredient,” officials said.
The menu for the dinner will be orchestrated by Chef David Burke and his chefs Toni Charmella (formerly with DRIFTHOUSE) and Chris Shea (formerly with The Polo Bar Ralph Lauren, NYC). The dishes will be paired with cocktails from Laird’s mixologists.
