• The Rumson Garden Club meets at 11 a.m. at Rumson Country Club. The subject of the meeting will be Bayscaping and representatives from the American Littoral Society, based on Sandy Hook, will offer input.

• River Road Books in Fair Haven is featuring a reading and discussion from/with author Michael Nethercott, who wrote The Seance Society, highlighting a ghost story motif.

• It's Burger Night at the Fromagerie in Rumson — gourmet burgers, salad, fries, wine or beer and music.
