Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade Is Sunday
The 11th annual Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade - a celebration of Irish Heritage and a supporter of good causes - is set for March 10.

RUMSON, NJ — The spirit of Irish heritage and local community will once again join forces at the 11th annual Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade March 10.
In 11 years, the parade has grown "both in size and in heart," organizers say, becoming an annual tradition.
And the Rumson St. Patrick's Day Parade is a charitable force in the greater Rumson community, they add.

This year's beneficiary charity is the Monmouth Conservation Foundation, "aligning with the parade's commitment to supporting open space, farmland preservation, and conservation efforts throughout Monmouth County," organizers say.
On Sunday, the Grand Marshal for the 11th annual parade is Michael Del Priore, whose many community contributions and Irish roots are detailed in an essay on the parade website.

Over the years, the parade has provided financial support to over 22 local organizations, thanks to local businesses, individual donors, corporate sponsors, participants, and dedicated volunteers, organizers say.
They say the parade's origin came from the "heartfelt vision" of the one-time owner of Molly Maguire's Black Point Inn, inspiring parade founder Mike Larkin to turn this dream into reality, with support of the Mayor and Borough Council through the years. The inaugural parade took place on March 10, 2013, with seven bagpipe bands, 720 marchers, and enjoyed by over 4,000 spectators.
