2 Attacked By Fox Over Weekend Near Rumson Park: Police
Rumson Police said the attacks happened Saturday night. One person was transported and treated at a local hospital.
RUMSON, NJ — Borough police are asking residents to be mindful of their surroundings and the local wildlife after two reports of a fox attack over the weekend.
Borough police received two reports of a fox attacking residents around 8:30 p.m. Saturday near Piping Rock Park. According to police, one resident reported the fox held on to their shoe, but the resident was able to escape without injury.
Police said a second resident was bit in the leg and was transported to a local hospital where they received treatment.

"Please be mindful in the area and keep animals and kids away from all wildlife," police said in a post on Facebook.
Police are asking residents to contact the Rumson Police Department immediately if they observe a fox that looks sick or injured in anyway.
