• NJ Transit to start on bus terminal at MetLife for 2026 FIFA World Cup (northjersey.com) — NJ Transit is preparing a major bus operation using a Rutherford-area lot to move tens of thousands of fans per hour between Secaucus Junction and MetLife Stadium for the 2026 World Cup. Construction on a temporary bus terminal at MetLife and related road upgrades will start once the Giants and Jets finish their seasons, with longer-term plans for a future rapid bus corridor toward Jersey City.
