Retired but Active?

Retired but Active?

An association of retired men is open to you for fellowship, personal growth, activities, and recreation. The Summit Old Guard was founded 1930 and has several hundred members from the nearby counties. Members are typically professional and business men with a high level of education and experience, who are still active.

We meet weekly for companionship and to hear guest speakers on diverse topics including community affairs, social issues, health, finance, history, science and more. We also have sports groups doing golf, bocce, kayaking, and fishing, and interest groups on technology, investing, sports, a book club, a reminiscences group and more. In all activities we practice community, friendship, and inclusiveness.

Everything in the Old Guard is run by volunteers, and each member is expected to help according to his skills. Our dues are $45 per year—less than a few lunches out.

Tuesday weekly meetings are free and public, in an auditorium in New Providence Presbyterian Church, 1307 Springfield Ave, New Providence. Come as our guest at 9:30AM to hear an interesting presentation. Find out more at our website https://summitoldguard.org .
