Boy Fighting Terminal Cancer Will Be At American Dream Friday
At 11:30 a.m. Friday, DJ Daniel will be sworn in as the honorary Head of Security at American Dream mall. The event is open to the public.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — This Friday, American Dream will honor Devarjay "DJ" Daniel, the 13-year-old boy who has become an American hero for fighting a life-long battle with cancer.
Daniel has a goal of becoming a police officer, and he's traveled across the country in pursuit of setting a Guinness Book of World Record by being sworn in by 1,000 law enforcement agencies. President Donald Trump famously swore him in as a Secret Service agent before a joint session of Congress on March 4.
At 11:30 a.m. this Friday, Daniel will be sworn in as the honorary Head of Security at American Dream mall. The ceremony will be held on the Dream Stage (Court A, Level 1).

Daniel has been fighting brain cancer for the past 7 years, since he was first diagnosed in 2018. He was six at the time he was diagnosed and he was given five months to live. His family just told the media on May 30 that "three new tumors" were found in Daniel, in the area of his brain and spine.
Uniformed police officers will be on hand, along with Chase from Paw Patrol (a police officer). Following the ceremony, Daniel and his family will ride a customized police-themed golf cart to the Nickelodeon Universe theme park, where he will enjoy the attractions — including a stop at the PAW Patrol Hero Academy for a photo opportunity.
