Jonas Brothers Pack American Dream With Free Concert Sunday

The ice skating rink at the mall was transformed into a free concert stage for the Jonas Brothers, who grew up in Wyckoff and Little Falls.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Here are photos from the crowd size at American Dream mall Sunday when the Jonas Brothers gave a free concert.

Billed as "JONASCON," this was a free concert hosted by the mall, and it was intended to celebrate the Jonas Brothers and their fans, honoring the band's 20th anniversary. The band performed six times throughout the mall Sunday, at The Rink (ice skating rink), Dream Works Water Park and Dream Stage.

There were other performances by the bands DNCE and All-American Rejects. There were also special-guest appearances from Big Rob, Big Time Rush, Chicks in the Office and relationship coach Jay Shetty.

The Jonas Brothers are local to North Jersey: Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas grew up in Wyckoff and Little Falls. Their band sold 20 million albums and counting, has been nominated for two Grammys, and paved a path with their blend of rock and funk.

It was a special event because the Jonas Brothers got their start performing in malls in New Jersey before they made it big.

The live concert was held in the mall's main center court. There was also a Q&A panel with the band, and they even had their original tour van in Court C that fans were able to write messages on.

Throughout the mall, there were Jonas-themed attractions, "Instagrammable moments" and exclusive Jonas Brothers merchandise for sale. The Joe Jonas solo album, “Music For People Who Believe in Love," will be released May 23, and the band's newest album “Greetings from Your Hometown” is coming Aug. 8.
