Meadowlands Comedy Festival Is April 24-28

SECAUCUS, NJ — It's back! The eighth annual Meadowlands Comedy Festival will run from April 24 - April 28 this year. Each night will feature a different venue and theme in the Meadowlands, including the towns of East Rutherford, Carlstadt, North Bergen and New York City.
Opening night will take place Wednesday, April 24 at The Roosevelt, 356 Paterson Ave. in East Rutherford, in the Hidden Speakeasy. You will be transported back to the Roaring Twenties as you step down the stairs and a doorman escorts you through the cleverly hidden entrance. This night will feature new comedians to the festival, including New Jersey native Troy Hughes, twin brothers Greg and Rob Cardazone, Cyndy Cecil, Alex Libutti and Tom Massey from Detroit will close the show hosted by Teresa DeGaetano from "Impractical Jokers."
Tickets are $15 in advance if purchased online, $20 night of show. 8 p.m. showtime.

Thursday, April 25 Is Festival Alumni Night featuring comedians from past festivals including Laz Vic, Josh Wells, Mario Lucena and Damien Speranza, all from North Bergen. The show will take place at a secret location in North Bergen. The night will be hosted by MisterDirect. Location will be sent to buyers after they purchase tickets or make reservations. Tickets are $20, show time 8:30 p.m.
Friday, April 26 the festival will move to Redd's 317 Washington Ave in Carlstadt. On this night eight comedians will compete to become America's Stand-Up Comedy Champion. The winner will be chosen by both a combination of a panel of judges and the audience votes. The winner will receive a cash prize and will become the Undisputed America's Stand Up Comedy Champion. Performers include current Stand Up Comedy Champion Joe Becker from Jersey City, Rob White from Long Island, Rafael Gee from Queens, Teresa Morrison from Nashville and Cam Rowe from Detroit. Tickets are $20 in advance $25 night of the show, 9 p.m. show time.

Saturday, April 27 the festival will cross the Hudson River to the World Famous Copacabana 625 West 51st Street New York NY. For eight decades The Copa has featured icons in the entertainment industry including Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. We plan on continuing this tradition. Host Promise from Milwaukee Wisconsin featuring comedians Laren Leroux, Tom Massey, Naked Eddie, Cyndy Cecil, Teresa DeGaetano, Teresa Morrison, Cam Rowe, Joe Scrocca, Marty Cunnie and Ivory Fields are all on the bill. Admission includes entry to the after party where the legendary Copa Dancers will also be in attendance. Tickets are $25, showtime 7:30 p.m.
Sunday April 28, the final day of the festival there will be three shows at Hudson Burgers and Beers 4404 Bergen Turnpike in North Bergen. First show is at 5 p.m. with headliner Craig McLaughlin from Secaucus. Second show at 7 p.m. with headliner Sam Bloomstone from Manhattan; final show at 9 p.m. with headliner Mike Kramer from Brooklyn. Throughout the day there will be 20 Comedians performing from all around the United States. Tickets are $15 in advance $20 night of show.
