Meadowlands Comedy Festival Runs April 23-April 27: Here Are The Shows

See comedy shows at Redd's in Carlstadt, in North Bergen, Hoboken and NYC. The festival's creator is Secaucus resident Joe Loesner.

SECAUCUS, NJ — The Meadowlands Comedy Festival returns this year, and will run from April 23 - April 27.

The festival's creator and executive producer is Secaucus resident Joe Loesner. The comedy festival is now in its ninth year and this 5-night, 6-show event will cover Hoboken, Carlstadt, North Bergen and New York City. This year’s festival brings together a unique blend of comedians from all over the country, along with popular acts from previous years performing fresh material.

Opening night will be Wednesday, April 23 at the iconic Copacabana, 625 W 51st St, New York, NY, with an 8:30 p.m. show. New comedians include:

  • Kiki Wynns from North Carolina (Psychiatrist by day, comedian by night)
  • Walter Vincent, a New York City firefighter and festival alumni
  • Khristen Brooks, making her debut at the famous nightclub.

Tickets: $22.50 in advance / $25 on the night of the show.

On Thursday, April 24, the laughs continue at The Copacabana, featuring host Victoria Lang, along with Meg Noelle, Genia Dulot, Jonah Nigh, and headliner Connor O’Brien. Tickets: $22.50 in advance / $25 on the night of the show.

On Friday, April 25, America’s Stand-Up Comedy Championship Show will take place at Redd’s, 317 Washington Ave, Carlstadt, New Jersey, in the heart of the Meadowlands, across from MetLife Stadium. Eight comedians from across the country will compete to become America’s Stand-Up Comedy Champion. The current champion is Andrew Lee from Little Ferry. The show will feature a panel of judges and audience voting to determine the winner, along with two professional ring card girls, bringing the excitement of a heavyweight prize fight. The winner will receive a cash prize and the Championship Belt. Tickets: $22.50 in advance / $25 on the night of the show.

On Saturday, April 26th, there will be two shows at Hudson Burgers and Beers in North Bergen.

  • The first show will begin at 7 PM, featuring actress-comedian Brooke Hoover.
  • The second show will begin at 9 PM, hosted by Marklyn “Mister Direct” Johnson.

Tickets: $20.

The festival finale will take place on Sunday, April 27, at Metropolis, 96 River Street in Hoboken. Hosted by Mario Lucena, who has performed every year for the festival, the finale will be headlined by Laz Vic, 5-time America’s Stand-Up Comedy Champion, who will be releasing his first comedy special this summer. The show will feature almost a dozen comedians, and entry will also include a rooftop after party. Tickets: $25 in advance / $30 on the night of the show.

Tickets for all shows can be purchased online at MeadowlandsComedyClub.com. There are also All Access Passes available on the website’s box office page for $75, granting entry to every show.
