As the two cars drove north into Palisades Park, the suspects fired multiple gunshots at the victim’s vehicle, striking it at least once.

The Chevy Camaro then turned around and headed south on the Turnpike. While on the Turnpike, State Police engaged in a pursuit of the suspect vehicle, however they lost sight of it near Exit 11.

Ballistic evidence was recovered on the roadway in Palisades Park and from the victim’s vehicle.

On September 17, the suspect vehicle was stopped in Westchester County, New York. Secaucus Police detectives responded and brought the car back to New Jersey. Raheem Hickman, 22, of Sharon Hill, PA and Sahr Keppah, 22, of Collingdale, PA were identified as two of the individuals who committed the robbery, said police, and warrants were issued for their arrest.

Keppah was arrested Wednesday at his home in Collingdale, PA by Secaucus Police detectives along with Collingdale Police and the Delaware County, PA SWAT Team. Hickman was arrested Thursday at a home in the Bronx. That arrest was made by Secaucus Police along with U.S. Marshals. He was lodged in Rikers Island awaiting extradition to New Jersey.

Hickman and Keppah are each charged with Robbery [2C:15-1a(1)], Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4a(1)], Unlawful Possession of a Firearm [2C:39-5b(1)], Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1b(1)], Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1b(4)] and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery [2C:5-2a(1)/2C:15-1a(1)].

Additionally, both were charged by the Secaucus Police with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder [2C:5-1a/2C:11-3a(1)] and Conspiracy to Commit Murder [2C:5-2a(1)/2C:11-3a(1)] for when they fired the gun at the car on the Turnpike.

“This incident is a clear example that criminals operate with no jurisdictional boundaries, therefore the only way to hold these criminals accountable is to work collaboratively with one another," said Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller. “I want to thank the Westchester County, NY and Collingdale, PA Police Departments along with the Delaware County, PA SWAT Team for their assistance. I also want commend the investigative follow-up work of my Detective Division, under the supervision of Detective Sergeant David Delseni, and I am proud of the hard work they put forth each and every day.”
