MJ Kutz Barbershop Open In Secaucus, Used To Be Camilo's
The barbershop that used to be Camilo's is under new ownership, now owned by a local Secaucus father of two. He welcomes your business:
SECAUCUS, NJ — The barbershop on the corner of Centre Avenue and Sixth Street in Secaucus is under new ownership, and is owned by a Secaucus resident and dad who wants everyone to know he is welcoming of new business.
This is the barbershop that used to be Camilo's. It is now MJ Kutz, owned by Miguel Santiago.
Santiago took over the lease in February of this year. He used to own a men's barbershop in North Bergen, and he said he always dreamed of opening a business in the town where he and his wife live, and are raising their two children (Secaucus).

"This location has been a barbershop since the 1960s," Santiago, 43, explained. "Camilo's relocated to Atlanta, and when we took over the business, we wanted an entirely new look and feel. We renovated the inside and painted it. It really looks different."
MJ Kutz is open Monday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. They are closed Sundays. Santiago stresses that yes, they take walk-ins (something Camilo's did not).

"Unfortunately, no other barbershop in town takes walk-ins. We want to be convenient for people. We are welcoming of all and when we say we're open, we're open. There is always someone here during business hours," he said.
Santiago said he wants to give back to Secaucus locals, so he has the following discounts: 10 percent off for Secaucus police, firefighters and members of DPW, and 5 percent off for Secaucus public school students.
"We love giving back to Secaucus," he said.
Manicurist on staff, adding a woman to cut women's hair in July
Santiago has trained men's barbers on staff and he is also expanding: He added a section in the back for a woman to do nails. A licensed manicurist will do men's and women's nail care; she is there Thursdays and Saturdays.
He is also bringing a woman on in July who will cut women's hair.
MJ Kutz accepts all forms of payment, including cash. You can book an appointment online though their website, through Google or by simply calling them at (551) 998-0602 to book an appointment with ease. You can also email them at mjkutzgbs@gmail.com
