New Arcade, The Gameroom, Opens At American Dream

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — There's a new arcade now open at American Dream:

It's called The Gameroom, and it's operated by Hasbro, the Rhode Island-based toy and board game company.

They will have their grand opening next Wednesday, June 26 but the arcade is currently open now in a soft opening.

It's a 41,500-square-foot space that has classic and new arcade games, anchored by some of the most iconic and beloved Hasbro brands: Come play live action versions of classic games such as Battleship, Candy Land, G.I. Joe, Trivial Pursuit, Clue, Monopoly and Transformers, among others.

The Gameroom is ideal for kids, birthday parties, young people or couples on a date night.

G.I. JOE Battle Station Laser Tag:

Gear up and get ready to experience laser tag like never before at the adrenaline-pumping G.I. JOE Battle Station. Designed for up to 28 players, Team COBRA and Team G.I. JOE battle it out in a chemical plant setting full of exhilarating twists and turns. Choose your side and ignite your competitive spirit to determine who will win.

Ultimate Rollergames:

Get hyped for Ultimate Rollergames and test your skills on nine tech-forward game lanes that each showcase a different beloved Hasbro brand like TRANSFORMERS, CANDY LAND, BATTLESHIP and MONOPOLY. Compete with up to five friends or aim for a new personal high score as you journey through this thrilling combination of classic favorites.

CANDY LAND Milkshake Bar:

Prepare for a treat as delicious as it is Instagram-worthy! Indulge in decadent shakes inspired by the whimsical world of CANDY LAND, adorned with a variety of colorful and mouthwatering topping options. They will also have a themed full-service restaurant serving food "inspired by your favorite games" and will even serve alcohol with craft cocktails at the Game Bar. The bar and restaurant are not open yet, but the Shake Bar is.

A classic arcade, but reimagined:

Embark on a captivating gaming journey as you explore a highly curated collection of arcade games, designed to cater to diverse gaming preferences.
