New Average Monthly Rent For A 1-Bedroom In Secaucus Is ...

One-bedroom Secaucus rent prices rose 1.7 percent from April. Here are the new average rents in May:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Every month, real estate marketing firm Zumper publishes an analysis of the New York City metro area rental market.

Their report has a broad definition of the New York City metro area, including towns such as Kingston in the Hudson Valley, to Norwalk, CT and as far south as Long Branch.

And of course, the Secaucus rental market is considered.

Secaucus ranked as the 10th most expensive town in the region in which to rent, more expensive than Bayonne and West New York, but a cheaper place to rent than New Rochelle or New Brunswick, according to their report, which you can read here.

As of May 2023, the average price of a one-bedroom apartment in Secaucus is $2,340 and the average price of a two-bedroom is $3,550. One-bedroom rent prices in Secaucus rose 1.7 percent from April 2023.

As of May, they found:

The Most Expensive rental markets:
New York City was the most expensive market to rent, with the average price of a one bedroom is $3,780.
Hoboken was the second priciest city with rent at $3,510.
Jersey City ranked as third with rent at $3,180.

The Least Expensive rental markets:
Newark was the most affordable city with rent at $1,390.
Kingston (NY) ranked as second with rent at $1,440.
East Orange was third with rent at $1,450.

The towns with the fastest growing rent prices are Long Branch and Jersey City, which had the largest monthly rental growth rates, both up 6%, and West New York and New York City rents were tied for the second fastest growing, both climbing 5.9%.
