Nature's Canvas outdoor painting class: 10 a.m. - noon, Oct. 4
Bring your creative hands to Liberty State Park and get up close and personal with some of nature’s most captivating creatures. Express your natural side as we learn about these creatures and paint/sketch your very own work of art to take home with you! We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. All ages welcome. This program is co-sponsored by the Educational Arts Team at Camp Liberty.

Kindness Rocks Workshop 10 a.m. - noon, Oct. 11
“One message at just the right moment can change someone's entire day, outlook or life!” Come help spread the positive message of the Kindness Rocks Project by making your own kindness rocks to help brighten someone’s day. We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. All ages welcome.

Hike to Caven Point 10 a.m. - noon, Oct. 18
Join us on a leisurely hike to Caven Point and explore the urban and natural shoreline of Upper NY Bay with views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Skyline. We’ll also explore the unique features of Caven Point Beach. We will meet in Lot #1 located at 300 Morris Pesin Drive and then walk over to our beach area. Please be advised there is over a mile and a half of walking involved. Be sure to dress to be outdoors and wear old shoes that can get wet or muddy. If it is a hot day, sunscreen and water are also recommended. All ages welcome.
Sunset Nature Walk 5 - 6 p.m., Oct. 22
Take a different look at Liberty State Park as we explore our habitats and trails to discover what kinds of animals are out and about while the sun is going down! We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Please dress to be outdoors and wear shoes comfortable for walking. Recommended for ages 5 & up.
Fall Leaves Walk 1 - 2 p.m., Oct. 25
As the weather starts to cool and the leaves begin to change colors, it’s a perfect time to come explore the beauty of fall at Liberty State Park. Join our Park Naturalist on this guided walk and learn how to identify some of our trees by their fall colors. Please dress to be outdoors. We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. All ages welcome.
Everlasting Autumn Wreaths Workshop 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Oct. 26
In this hands-on workshop, we will use natural materials found in Liberty State Park to create ornamental wreaths. Once dried, these beautiful handmade wreaths can last forever. Decorate your home or give them as gifts! All materials will be provided. We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Program will begin promptly at 10:00 AM and space is limited! Recommended for ages 10 & up.

Pre-registration is required for all programs unless specified. Space is limited. For more information or to register for a program, please contact the Nature Center at 201-915-3400 x503 or email LSPNatureCenter@dep.nj.gov. Children must be accompanied by an adult. You may register a maximum of six participants per reservation. Pets are not permitted on programs unless they are service animals. SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
