SECAUCUS, NJ — Several hundred people attended the vigil for Charlie Kirk in Secaucus Tuesday night.
The event was held at the Buchmuller Park bandstand and it was organized by Secaucus resident Nick Mattiello. Mattiello gave a speech to the crowd, which enthusiastically thanked him for organizing the vigil.
Attendees held candles and prayed multiple times throughout the 1.5-hour event, which started at 6 p.m. Attendees sang "Happy Birthday" to Kirk, as Oct. 14 is his birthday, and bagpipers gave several moving performances, including ending with "Amazing Grace." A young woman also sang "The Star-Spangled Banner."
