Scrabble Tournament for Adults happening this Wednesday, July 30 at 6pm! Spaces are still available - Register using the library's online calendar on our website or by emailing Don at donevanson@aol.com.

This Saturday, Aug. 2, the Katherine Steffens Annex of the Secaucus Library will celebrate that it's been open for five years. The Annex will throw a celebration party this Saturday at its location at 1007 Riverside Station Blvd at XChange. 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, August 2 with a party featuring free food, a live performance by Kulture Kool, carnival games and prizes, a balloon artist, book sale and more! All are welcome to attend.

National Night Out with the Secaucus Police will be Tuesday, Aug. 5 in Buchmuller.

Tuesdays in August, starting August 5. 6 - 7 p.m. Yoga for Adults at the Library annex. Please bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water. Registration required for each individual session.

Saturday, August 9. 10:30am-11am. Wiggle & Giggle Fun Time. Children age 5 and under will experience the magic of music and movement through traditional and original songs, puppets, parachutes, bubbles, rhythm sticks, egg shakers and other fun instruments and props, led by Miss Bee of Explorers Playgroup. This program happens at our Katherine Steffens Annex at 1007 Riverside Station Blvd at XChange. Parent or Caregiver must remain present throughout the program. Registration is required for each date.

Saturday, August 9. 12 noon - 12:30 p.m. Saturday Story Time and Take Home Craft. Children ages 3 through 5 years old and their caregivers will enjoy stories and a take-home craft. Registration required.

At 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 13 will be Secaucus' Got Talent talent show. Join them in Buchmuller Park for an evening of singing, dancing and other live entertainment by some of Secaucus' most talented residents of all ages! The pop-up library will also be there, with giveaways, children's activities, library card registration and 50/50 tickets.

Wednesday, August 20. 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Experience the AirSynth with Rich Casella. Children and adults alike will be inspired by this interactive and educational musical experience. Let your imagination and creativity run free as you "become music." Most appropriate for ages 5 years and up. Please register using the Secaucus Library calendar.

And coming up:

Friday, September 5. 6:30pm-9pm. Secaucus Wine Night. The Friends of the Library are proud to host this evening of wine tastings, light appetizers and live music by Hunter Hayes at the Secaucus Town Pool. This event is made possible by the generosity of the Mayor and Town Council. All profits benefit the Friends of the Library’s fund for arts and cultural programming at the library. Admission is $5 per person, cash only. All Secaucus residents over the age of 21 are invited to attend. Photo ID will be required at the door. No children, strollers or outside beverages permitted.

Saturday, October 4. 11am-3pm. Friends of the Library Fall Festival. More details to be announced soon! Expect an afternoon of food, entertainment and library fun for all ages on the outdoor grounds of the Secaucus main library. Will include our classic buy-the-bag outdoor book sale, tricky tray basket raffle table, and a 50/50 cash raffle drawing. 50/50 tickets are on sale now at the main library's front desk or by emailing secaucuslibraryfriends@gmail.com
