Secaucus, NJ — Back-to-school season brings a mix of excitement and nerves — for students, parents and staff alike. Thankfully, Secaucus is home to everyday school heroes who help make the transition smoother and the school year a little brighter.

Please describe why this individual is a hero at your school.

She is a crossing guard in the high school parking lot. Every morning she is there rain, snow, sleet and greets every student and staff with a smile and good morning. She is very kind sweet attends all the functions that school has. She wears many hats other than being a crossing guard, but her love is making sure the kids and staff get into school safely. She is a ray of sunshine and makes my mornings so much brighter.
