Secaucus HS Cross Country Has A Strong NJIC Outing And Raises their Record to 6-0

Patriots score victories over Eastern Christian and Saddle River Day School

A strong showing by the entire Secaucus HS cross country team propelled their record to 6-0 in the NJIC Meadowlands Division. The Patriots defeated Eastern Christian 15-48 and Saddle River Day School 15-47. The race was held at Darlington Park, Mahwah.

Team Captain Dominic Vargas was the first man across the finish line in a time of 18:04. He was quickly followed by Max Donaldson-George who was 2nd in 18:35. Yash Sachanandani was 3rd with a 19:08 performance. The Patriots dominated the meet taking the first 5 places against each of their opponents.

The team travels this Saturday to Greystone Park in Morris Plains to participate in the Annual Magee Class Race. This is one of the most heavily contested races in New Jersey and has 90 schools in attendance.
