Secaucus HS Cross Country Team opens NJIC divisional season

Boys move to 4-0 record and girls are 2-2

The Secaucus High School cross country team opened their divisional schedule on Wednesday, September 10th. The Patriots ran at the Garret Mountain Reservation 5k course in Woodland Park.

The boys team went to a record of 4-0 with victories over defending co-champion New Milford, Palisades Park, North Arlington, and Saddle Brook. A great 1-2-3 punch by Dominic Vargas (18:24) , Max Donaldson-George (18:44), and Kyrolos Awad (18:49) led the way.

Jasmine Tsang (24:37) and Elaine Zhang (26:50) enabled the Lady Patriots to defeat North Arlington and Palisades Park and move to a 2-2 record.

The team returns to Garret Mountain this Saturday to compete at the Back to the Mountain Invitational.
