Secaucus Native Writes Fantasy Fiction Books For Young Adults/Adults
At 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, James Voorhees will give a talk about his books at the Secaucus Library, and a second talk Thursday in Jersey City.
SECAUCUS, NJ — James Voorhees, who was born and raised in Secaucus, just wrote this series of books, "The Ambassador Chronicles" (Bonfire Books).
The books are fantasy fiction and they are for young adult/adults.
At 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, Voorhees will give a talk about his books at the Secaucus Library. He is also doing a reading and book signing in Jersey City at 7 p.m. this Thursday, May 8, at Park & Shore Condominiums, 75 Park Lane South (inside at the building's wine tasting room). "Ten individual character prequels come together in chronological order in 'The Ambassador Chronicles' to tell the origin stories of Seer, Sorcerer, Monk, the Queen of Witches, Princess, AZ, Tinker, The Twins, Ghost and Vampire himself and how these events in their pasts led to their collective journey into the heroes."

Voorhee's father is Charlie Voorhees, a 50-year veteran of the Secaucus Fire Department (Engine 3, Chicora Park) and his brother is acting Secaucus schools superintendent and Secaucus athletic director Charlie Voorhees. Voorhees lives in Miami currently.
