Secaucus Police Blotter, April 14- April 20

Police say a Secaucus man keyed someone's car in the Walmart parking lot on April 16.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On April 15 at 3:21 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft of packages. Police arrested a 29-year-old male of Paterson, NJ along with a 24-year-old male of West New York, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. The first was further charged with Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug [2C:35-10.5E(1)], and found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $1,000. The second was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. The first was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 15 at 5:31 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male of Lodi, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Lodi, NJ in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On April 16 at 9:40 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union in the amount of $750 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500. SPD released him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Union, was was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On April 16 at 7:56 p.m., an individual entered Secaucus Police headquarters to report his motor vehicle was scratched with a key while parked in the Walmart parking lot. At 5:14 p.m. on April 17, police responded to the 100 block of County Avenue and arrested a 69-year-old male of Secaucus for Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)]. He was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On April 18 at 2:30 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Morristown Police Department to take into custody a 61-year-old male of Morristown, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $600. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 19 at 5:30 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. He was transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
