Secaucus Police Blotter, April 21 - April 28

There were multiple DWI arrests last week in town:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On April 21 at 8:51 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 28-year-old female of Elizabeth, NJ along with a 31-year-old female of Elizabeth, NJ and a 40-year-old male of Elizabeth, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. All were issued their complaint summonses and released from police custody.

On April 22 at 10:50 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a theft that occurred at LA Fitness on March 17 police arrested a 51-year-old male, Muziki Stewart of Lodi, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. On April 22 at 4:22 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the 700 Block of 6th Street for the purpose of taking into custody an individual with an outstanding arrest warrant. Police arrested a 24-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Perth Amboy, NJ with no bail. He was taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 23 at 12:14 p.m., North Bergen PD transferred custody of a 23-year-old male of North Bergen for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On April 23 at 10:34 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Hudson Regional Hospital for a report of an EMT who was assaulted. Police arrested a 56-year-old male, Orlando Zepeda of Union City, NJ for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(5)C] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Zepeda was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued by the Union County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. He was issued his complaint warrant and was taken to the Hudson County jail.

On April 25 at 10:56 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle strike a light fixture in the median of the Rt. 3 east service road in the area of Paterson Plank Road. Police arrested a 50-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Alprazolam and Buprenorphine [2C:35-10A(1)]. He was issued his complaint warrant along with 5 motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 26 at 3:23 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to 595 County Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police arrested a 17-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. The juvenile male was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On April 26 at 5:13 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to 925 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police arrested a 27-year-old male of Orange, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
