SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On June 3 at 6:41 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a theft of a motor vehicle that occurred on April 11 at 301 Penhorn Avenue, police arrested a 32-year-old male, Valentino Barrafato of East Brunswick, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)], Theft [2C:20-3A] and Theft of a Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.1A]. Police say he stole the car from where it was parked on Penhorn Avenue sometime between 8:26 p.m. and 3 a.m. on April 11. Barrafato was taken into custody at Secaucus Police headquarters, was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On June 3 at 6:40 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of Paterson Plank Road and Dorigo Lane on a report of an assault. Police arrested a 36-year-old male, Isaiah Shaw of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Shaw was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department.

On June 4 at 9:32 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Middlesex County Jail to take into custody a 28-year-old male, Christian Cruz of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. Mr. Cruz was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On June 5 at 3:55 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to 100 Park Plaza Drive on a report of an individual residing at the location who had an outstanding warrant. Police arrested a 43-year-old female, Estefania Soria-Diaz of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Cedar Grove, NJ with no bail. Ms. Soria-Diaz was subsequently transported to the Cedar Grove Police Department.

On June 7 at 12:34 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old male, Richard Cedeno-Soto of West New York, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $550.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Weehawken did release Mr. Cedeno-Soto on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Cedeno-Soto was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On June 8 at 8:30 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Atlantic City Police Department to take into custody a 42-year-old male, George Valerio of Atlantic City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Valerio was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On June 8 at 12:44 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot for a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 37-year-old male, Erikson Hernandez of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2(A)(2)]. Mr. Hernandez was also found to have 2 outstanding warrants issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $3,000.00. Mr. Hernandez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
