On Oct. 27 at 5:17 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Bergen County Jail to take into custody a 35-year-old man of Woodridge, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 28 at 12:23 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office to take into custody a 21-year-old man of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $5,000 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $2,000 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Hanover, NJ in the amount of $2,000 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City for $750. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Oct. 28 at 10:08 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to an incident of stalking, police arrested a 24-year-old man, Joseph Shanahan of Rochester, NY for 2 counts of Stalking [2C:12-10B] and 2 counts of Harassment [2C:33-4C]. Shanahan was arrested at Secaucus Police headquarters, was issued his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750. He was unable to post bail for the outstanding warrant. He was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and officers from the Jersey City Police Department took custody of him.

On Oct. 28 at 7:26 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old man, Leonel Veloz of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law by Flight [2C:29-1A91)], Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)], Possession of CDS Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] by providing false information to the police. Veloz was arrested in the parking lot of 470 Harmon Meadow Boulevard. Veloz was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $500. Veloz was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Oct. 29 at 11:43 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Detective Division in relation to a theft of a purse that occurred at 3000 Riverside Station Boulevard, the police responded to 7000 Riverside Station Boulevard and arrested a 41-year-old man Emmanuel Padilla of Secaucus, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Fencing [2C:20-7.1B]. Padilla was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 30 at 5:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. The police observed an individual matching the description of the actor in the area of LA Fitness located at 485 Harmon Meadow Boulevard. The man ran from police and during the foot pursuit, a 29-year-old man Omar Ahmed of Jersey City, NJ was subsequently taken into custody in front of the Meadowlands Exposition Center located at 355 Plaza Drive for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law by flight [2C:29-1A], Resisting Arrest by flight [2C:29-2A(2)], Resisting Arrest by force [2C:29-2A(3)], Possession of CDS Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] by providing false information. Ahmed was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. He was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Oct. 30 at 9:08 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Lahore Restaurant located at 1277 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a dispute between an employee and a manager. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old man, Nishant Sapkota of Philadelphia, PA for Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], specifically food tongs, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], specifically a Straight Edge Knife, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], specifically a butter knife, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically food tongs, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a straight edge knife, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a butter knife and Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3B]. Sapkota was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 31 at 2:56 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Restaurant Depot located at 777 Secaucus Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, police arrested a 41-year-old man of Bloomfield, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. He was transported to the Essex County Jail.

On Nov. 1 at 5:20 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $3,500 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $100. Both the Hoboken Police Department and the Bayonne Police Department released him pending future court dates and he was subsequently released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
