SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Oct. 6 at 1:43 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old man of Hackensack, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 7 at 8:46 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to On Trac located at 50 Hartz Way on a report of an employee theft. Police arrested a 28-year-old man, Victor Jimenez-Jaramillo of Guttenberg, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Jimenez-Jaramillo was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 9 at 10:43 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to On Trac located at 50 Hartz Way on a report of an employee theft. Police arrested a 31-year-old man, Melvin Garcia-Colon of the Bronx, NY for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Garcia-Colon was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 9 at 8:19 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit arrested a 48-year-old man, Alejandro Fernandez-Betancou of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be MDMA and Ketamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be MDMA and Ketamine [2C:35-5B(3)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. The police also arrested a 27-year-old male, Reinaldo Prieto--Romo of Miami, FL for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Fernandez-Betancou was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summons and he was released from police custody. Mr. Prieto-Romo was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 10 at 3:59 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 44-year-old man Derek Dipasquale of West New York, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)], and a 24-year-old woman Diamond Singleton of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20 11B(1)], Eluding [2C:29-2A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29- 3A(7)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3]. She was released from police custody; he was taken to the county jail.

On Oct. 11 at 6:57 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Mercer County Jail to take into custody a 40-year-old man, Miguel Arias of the Bronx, NY for Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(1)], Theft by Deception [2C:20-4] and Unlawful Use of a Credit Card [2C:21-6C(1)]. Arias was charged in relation to an incident that took place at Best Buy on 09/19/2025. Arias was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Oct. 12 at 10:45 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old man of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $7,500 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On Oct. 12 at 3:52 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office to take into custody a 28-year-old man of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $20,000.00 with a 10% option. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. He was originally arrested on drug possession and drug paraphernalia charges, which he then failed to appear in court for.

On Oct. 12 at 4:11 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart for information received from the Montville Police Department that an individual who was wanted for multiple offenses out of their jurisdiction was possibly at that location. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41-year-old man of Pine Brook, NJ for Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)], Possession of Prohibited Weapon, specifically a switch blade [2C:39-3E] and Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. The man was also found to have one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Montville Police Department with no bail. He was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail. (Secaucus Police did not release this man's name because it would identify the minor child.)

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
