Secaucus Residents: 'This Is Sandy 2.0'
The Holland Tunnel inbound to NYC is flooded as is indoors at Newark Airport. The NJ Turnpike north and south in Carteret is flooded.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A foot of flood waters in carports in Harmon Cove. The lowest lying part of Centre Avenue underwater. Basements that normally stay dry in rainstorms now flooded.
To Secaucus residents, this is Sandy 2.0. There's flooding reported in the Holland Tunnel inbound to New York City. The New Jersey Turnpike north and south in Carteret is currently flooded and shut down. Incredibly, the inside of Newark Airport terminals is also flooded.
In total, the town of Secaucus pumped 91 basements out and it looks like more than 100 Secaucus homes had flooding, although more homes are still being added to the list.

As Tropical Depression Ida batters the NYC area, here are the effects so far in Secaucus:
- Centre Avenue flooded
- Farm Road flooded
- Valley Court flooded
- Electricity out on 8th and 9th streets near Mansfield
There is also flooding reported in Wallington. Hoboken flooded so badly that snakes got into peoples' basements: This Time Hoboken's Flash Floods Have Snakes

Gov. Murphy has declared a state of emergency. At about 8 p.m. there were confirmed reports of a tornado in the New Brunswick area, headed to Princeton. A tornado touched down in Mullica Hill in South Jersey, causing major damage:

So far, police have pulled drivers from more than a dozen cars in South Brunswick.
There are unconfirmed reports of a partial building collapse and gas leak reported due to lightning strike in Middlesex borough.
