Buck Killed By Bow And Arrow Found Near Archery Range
The dead buck was found 50 feet from the archery range at Mill Creek Point Park.
SECAUCUS, NJ — The male deer that died Sunday morning on the Millridge Field softball field died within 50 feet of the town archery range, which is located next to the fields.
The buck was shot and killed with a razor-tipped arrow, said Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli.
For some reason, Gonnelli dismissed the suggestion that the deer could have been shot at the archery range. The town is not considering shutting down the range, he said.

"The deer could have been shot anywhere," said the mayor. "It was not shot at the range."
But he did not say how he knew that for sure.

There are not cameras at the archery field. There are cameras at the Millridge Fields and police are reviewing the cameras now, he said.
The deer was killed by a bow and arrow, Secaucus Police previously said. Bow and arrow hunting is illegal within Secaucus town limits.
