SECAUCUS, NJ — The town of Secaucus is giving out booster and first vaccine doses on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Please visit www.secaucusnj.gov/vaccine to schedule an appointment. You must have an appointment; you cannot just show up. Only Pfizer will be administered for first doses.

The town of Secaucus gives out the vaccines from the annex near town hall. Earlier this summer, Secaucus town officials speculated they would have to reopen the Rec Center as a vaccine site, but the demand for booster shots was never so great that it was required.

If all appointments are taken, it means all available vaccine for that day has already been claimed.

In the months of October and November, Gov. Murphy and state health officials lamented that booster shot uptake was under what they expected, but it now seems to be picking up: As of Monday, more than 1.23 million people have received third doses or boosters, according to the state Health Department.
