Charlie Kirk Vigil Will Happen Tuesday Evening In Secaucus
An organizer said he planned to hold the vigil earlier, but it took some time to secure an agreement with the town to hold it in Buchmuller.
SECAUCUS, NJ — The Charlie Kirk vigil in Secaucus is still planned to take place Tuesday evening, said organizer Nick Mattiello.
It will be held from 6-8 p.m. in Buchmuller Park.
Oct. 14 is Kirk's birthday. Kirk was a Christian evangelist and conservative political activist who was assassinated on September 10 on the campus of Utah Valley University, at the age of 31.

"For those across the Secaucus community interested, we will be hosting a vigil for Charlie Kirk on Tuesday, October 14 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in Buchmuller Park," said Mattiello. "October 14 also just happens to be Charlie’s first heavenly birthday. Please join us for a peaceful vigil and prayer honoring his life, legacy and boundless commitment to civil discourse and debate. Please wear RED!"
The vigil is organized by Mattiello, a Secaucus resident and volunteer firefighter. (He ran unsuccessfully for school board in 2022, when he ran with Monica Berckes).

Mattiello said he intended to hold the vigil earlier, closer to Kirk's murder, but it took some time to secure an agreement with the town to hold it on town property. Here is the Facebook page for the event: https://www.facebook.com/event...
