Truck Carrying M&Ms Catches Fire In Secaucus

A truck entirely carrying M&M chocolate candies caught fire late Tuesday morning in Secaucus.

SECAUCUS, NJ — This was the scene on Meadowlands Parkway as of 1 p.m. Tuesday, as Secaucus firefighters extinguished a tractor trailer that caught fire.

The truck was entirely carrying M&M chocolate candies, said Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli. He said he did not know how the fire started. Those yellow bags picture are all signature yellow bags of peanut M&Ms.

The truck fire started at 11:45 a.m., he said. There were no injuries.

The truck has been cleared and Meadowlands Parkway is now cleared. The town of Secaucus is a big trucking and shipping hub, with many warehouses and distribution companies located in town.
