SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - A developer is seeking to transform a stretch of land near the New Jersey Turnpike into a massive industrial facility. The company has submitted plans to the Planning Board for a 200,000-square-foot warehouse—equivalent to more than three football fields—at 425 Dunham's Corner Road.

The applicant is seeking preliminary site plan approval to construct the warehouse on a 17.505-acre site in the LI-4 Redevelopment area.

The proposed development would include office space, parking areas, stormwater management systems, and landscaping on property currently zoned as LI-4 Redevelopment.

The property sits in the township's northeastern corner, bordering East Brunswick near Turnpike Exit 8A. The former agricultural site currently contains woodlands, two deteriorating single-family homes, a run-down barn, and various outbuildings. The location neighbors several existing logistics and distribution centers.

The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the application on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
