6 Killed, Several Injured In Violent Incidents: NJ Weekend
Here are the headlines from the weekend:
NEW JERSEY – A man was shot and killed in a housing community in Monmouth County, and a man was killed after he was thrown from his dirt bike in Manchester Township.

Man Shot & Killed In Housing Community
A man was shot dead at a housing community in Long Branch on Sunday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The incident took place around noon on Garrett Drive, within the John R. Lewis Commons housing complex. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is on.

Man Dies After Being Shot Multiple Times
A 28-year-old man was shot and killed on Saturday evening in Paterson, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said.
Around 5:20 p.m., Paterson police responded to the area of Market Street and Pennington Street on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they found the 28-year-old Paterson resident, with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

2 Killed In Different Monmouth County House Fires
Two people were killed in two different house fires that occurred Friday and Saturday in Monmouth County.
One person died in a house fire that broke out at 6:48 a.m. Saturday in Middletown and the other person was killed Friday in a house fire that broke out on the 500 block of Prospect Avenue in Asbury Park.
The cause of both fires is being investigated by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office.

Man Stabbed To Death In Newark
A 37-year-old man was stabbed to death in Newark on Saturday, according to media reports.
Donell Watson of Newark was found with stab wounds around 8:40 p.m. on West Market Street, NJ.com reported. He was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Man Killed In Dirt Bike Crash
A 28-year-old Brooklyn, New York man was killed in a dirt bike crash on Saturday, Manchester police said.
Around 11:56 a.m., officers responded to Heritage Minerals, also known as ASARCO, for a single dirt bike crash.
On arrival, officers found a blue 2024 Yamaha YZ450F dirt bike on the ground in the sand. The driver had been ejected and was found lying face down, unresponsive, by other dirt bike operators who began life-saving measures, police said. According to investigation, Joseph W. Maffia was riding a Yamaha dirt bike on private property in Asarco when he encountered the crest of a hill, which led to a steep, approximately ten-foot drop.

People Wounded In Gunfire After Party
Several people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a party at an event space in Verona on Saturday night, police said. The incident took place at the Palmetto Venues event space.
Witnesses told police that several guests got into a dispute that ended with an exchange of gunfire in the parking lot.
