Big South Brunswick Football Game Friday Night

An old rivalry with Old Bridge resumes anew this Friday night.

South Brunswick, NJ - An old rivalry resumes anew this Friday night.

Old Bridge is coming to take on South Brunswick at 7 p.m. at the high school Friday night, likely seeking revenge for South Brunswick's brutal 42-0 victory last fall in the Central Jersey, Group 5 championship game.

Both Old Bridge and South Brunswick are two of the top teams in the Greater Middlesex Conference. South Brunswick's starting quarterback this year is Josh Liao and Old Bridge's quarterback is Artur Sitkowski. Vikings football coach Joe George praised the team last December after they won the championship: “I couldn’t be more proud of those seniors. Those skill guys are the best skill group I’ve had since I started coaching in 1981. I’ve never had guys like that playing together," he said at the time.
