Camden Man Charged In Fatal South Brunswick Hit-&-Run: Prosecutor

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 24-year-old Camden man was charged in connection with a fatal South Brunswick hit-and-run that happened on Feb. 25 last year, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Police Chief Raymond Hayducka said Wednesday.

Giovanni Gaines-Little, 24, was arrested on Monday and charged with second-degree vehicular homicide, second-degree knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, third-degree causing death while operating a motor vehicle or while unlicensed, fourth-degree obstructing administration of law, among other offenses.

On Feb. 25, 2023, around 9:58 p.m., authorities responded to the intersection of Route 130 and Route 32 following the report of a crash.

On arrival, authorities found Kerri Lynn Shea, 43, of East Windsor, who died as a result of the crash, Ciccone said. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot.

The investigation led by Officer Bryan Sites of the South Brunswick Police Department and Detective Matthew Colonna of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Gaines-Little was the driver of the other vehicle and fled the scene on foot, Ciccone said.

Gaines-Little is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a pre-trial detention hearing scheduled for Friday, Ciccone said.
