Christmas Services, Opera at the SBPL This Week in South Brunswick

Events in and around town this week.

Monday

Knitting and Crocheting Group, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, 7 p.m.

The group meets to knit, crochet and do other fiber arts and to share tips, patterns, and good conversation. The group is open to anyone (14 years and older) who knows how to knit or crochet.

Wednesday

Mitzvah DayTemple B'nai Shalom, Fern and Old Stage Road, East Brunswick, 10 a.m.

Attendees will be packaging baked goods and delivering them to local hospitals, fire departments, rescue squads and police stations. Preferred baked goods include: brownies, cookies, cupcakes, Rice Krispy treats, candy and anything else that is easy to divide. If you are not a baker or candy maker, consider picking up some sweet treats from the grocer and donating them. Purchasing decorative cookie tins would be quite useful as well.

Friday

Danielle Wright of Opera Modo - Live Performance, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction, 2 p.m.

The South Brunswick Public Library, with the South Brunswick Aging in Place Partnership, is pleased to present Danielle Wright of Opera Modo, Princeton, accompaniaed by James Mitchell on piano, as they lead the audience on a tour of opera from Baroque classics to current compositions. Danielle Wright is the founder and Executive Director of Opera Modo, a newer and exciting opera company based in Princeton.  She made her MainStage operatic debut in 2010 with Des Moines Metro Opera and is an active performer across the United States.  She has produced 20 fully staged operas.
