Community Endorsement for Deven Patel – South Brunswick Board of Education Election

I have been a proud resident of South Brunswick for more than three decades and feel truly fortunate to live in one of the most culturally diverse and vibrant townships in New Jersey. Our community offers the best of both city and suburban living, with an outstanding quality of life for families. South Brunswick’s school system continues to stand out as one of the finest in the state—competitive, safe, and supported by professional, dedicated teachers and staff.

As the upcoming Board of Education election approaches, I have been following the candidates closely. Among them, I wish to express my strong support for Deven Patel, whom I have known personally for over 20 years—as a friend, community leader, and dedicated citizen. Deven previously served on the South Brunswick Board of Education for more than nine years and is now seeking re-election. I can say with full confidence that he is a hard-working, honest, qualified, and selfless individual who always puts the interests of our students and community first. Deven is a Civil Engineer with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. He and his wife are proud parents of triplets who attended South Brunswick Public Schools. Beyond his professional achievements, Deven serves as Chairman of the South Brunswick Township Transportation Advisory Committee and as a member of the Middlesex County Transportation Coordinating Committee, representing our township.

During his previous term on the school board, Deven served as Chair of the Curriculum and Academic Policy Committee, and as a member of the Policy Committee and District Evaluation Advisory Committee (DEAC). He also served as a liaison to Cambridge Elementary School, Crossroads North Middle School, and South Brunswick High School. In addition, he has held leadership positions with the Middlesex County School Boards Association, including Vice President and Secretary. Throughout his tenure, Deven has played an instrumental role in maintaining and enhancing district policies, strengthening curriculum standards, improving school safety measures, and fostering a strong partnership between the Board of Education and the community.

I am confident that Deven’s experience, integrity, and commitment will bring much-needed stability and direction to our school board. His proven leadership will continue to support academic excellence at all levels, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our students, and promote balanced fiscal responsibility between educational priorities and taxpayers’ interests. I wholeheartedly endorse and support Deven Patel in the upcoming South Brunswick Board of Education election on November 4, 2025, and wish him all the best as he continues his service to our community.
